AutismX is a peer support and information platform for parents, carers, and family members of autistic children. You can ask a question in Community, share a tip that worked, celebrate a win, and read what other families in Australia are learning. Beyond Community, AutismX also gives you a private Journal for the small wins and hard days, a Therapy Notes inbox so appointment notes from your child's therapists stop scattering across your email, Our Story as a place to share your family's journey publicly if you choose to, and Events to find things happening near you. It is not a clinical service and does not replace professional advice. It is a place to feel less alone and to learn from people walking the same road.

We're Ayantha and Migara. We built AutismX after our own daughter's diagnosis, right here in Sydney. We know what those first months feel like, the shock of the diagnosis itself, then days spent researching which therapies even existed, and more days just trying to work out which ones we could actually get into. Nobody sits you down and tells you what to do next, so you end up messaging ten different people the same question and scrolling Facebook groups at midnight, trying to make sense of NDIS while you're still absorbing the news itself. That's exactly why AutismX exists. We built it to be the place we wish had existed when we were the ones searching at midnight, so other families don't have to feel as alone in it as we did.

Respectful conduct

Talk to other members the way you would want someone to talk to your family. Different families make different choices, so share what worked for you without telling anyone what they should do. Harassment, slurs, and attacks on any person, group, or therapy approach are not permitted.

No soliciting or advertising

AutismX is not a place to sell products, promote a business, or drive traffic to paid services. Recommending a professional who helped your family is welcome, marketing your own service is not, and affiliate links, referral codes, and sponsored content are not permitted.

How disputes and reports are handled

Every post, comment, and message is reviewed by an AI moderation layer that flags anything concerning for human review, and private messages between members are moderated the same way rather than read live by a person in real time. Any member can report content through the Report a safety concern link on the Contact page. Urgent safety reports, including grooming, self-harm, or threats, are escalated immediately to the safety contact. Moderators review flagged content and can dismiss it, issue a warning, or remove it, and repeat or serious breaches lead to account removal. If you disagree with a moderation decision, email the safety contact through the Contact page and it will be reviewed.
